Photoshop's AI assistant is making its way to the desktop

Adobe's chat-based AI assistant — already live on Photoshop's web version — is now in public beta for the desktop app, letting you describe what you want done and watch it execute multi-step edits as adjustable layers. It's pitched as a way to offload the tedious parts of editing, not replace your eye, which is the right framing; just know the beta still makes mistakes and you'll want to check its work. Creative Cloud subscribers can try it now in Photoshop Beta.
