The Google Home Speaker sounds good and looks great — but it's finicky

Google's first proper smart speaker in years has genuinely good wake-word detection — the reviewer couldn't stump it even from the shower — and the hardware looks sharp in four colors (red is apparently the move). The 'finicky' caveat in the headline is worth paying attention to though, because a speaker you're yelling at out of frustration pretty quickly stops being fun. Worth watching for full review verdicts before committing.
